Applying for classes

There is no application fee required. Upon successful submission of the online application you will receive a confirmation page that you should keep for your records. After your application has been processed we will mail you a letter confirming your acceptance to Combs Junior College.

Tuition paid by a student attending Combs Junior College is determined by the student's legal permanent residence. Residence is defined as the place where student lives and is considered the student's permanent home. The residence must be occupied for a minimum of 30 days prior to the beginning of the term. Fraudulent submission of records regarding residency will result in a violation and reported to Combs Junior College Code of Conduct.

New Students Orientation is required of all students and you are welcome to do an in person or online orientation.

Campus Tours

A tour of the campus is optional. Please contact a counselor and they can assist you with setting up a tour. This general tour gives potential students a chance to view the campus and ask questions and see all that Combs Junior College has to offer.

Financial Aid:

Starting with the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), changes will be in effect: Students will be able to submit their FAFSA earlier. You can file your 2017-2018 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2016, rather than January 1, 2017. This will be a permanent change that will allow students to complete and submit a FAFSA as early as October 1st every year. Students will be required to report income and tax information from an earlier tax year. Once your FAFSA have been received by our office you will be able to log in to the online portal to access information regarding your financial aid.

If you are a Resident the cost is $150 per credit hour. Non- resident will pay $450 per credit hour plus a nonresident fee of $20 per credit. Out of district cost is $300 per credit hour plus a $10 nonresident fee. Some courses have additional fees. Return Check fees are $25.00. A replacement check by cash, certified check or money order must be presented within five business days.
